Balite Falls

After our weekend overnight trip in Lian, Batangas, Nala and I went straight to Balite Falls in Amadeo, Cavite on a Monday afternoon last April 29th.  I happen to pass by this place every time I go to Tagaytay or Batangas and so this is the perfect time to see the falls.

From Governor's Drive, if coming from Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, turn left at Crisanto M. De Los Reyes Avenue.  There's a Shell gas station on your right before the crossing, then McDonald's after the crossing (right side as well).  So when you see those, turn left.

Just go straight.  You'll be passing an economic zone, and drive further.  There's Balite Falls signage on your right and turn right from there.  Drive straight until you reach the parking area for the resort.

We were looking forward to swimming because we both assumed that there won't be much tourists around, but we were wrong.  From the parked vehicles right outside, we can tell that the place is packed.

Here are the rates:

We left our stuff in the car and went to the resort proper just to check if the place was really crowded.  And it sure was.  I even bumped into my godson at the area and was surprised to see his mom, which is a good friend of mine from high school, and the rest of her clan in the area.  Small world it is.

And because the place was packed, we opted to just dip our feet.  It's cold and very soothing.  It kind of relieved my foot sprain back then.  We left after 45 minutes of sightseeing and went straight to the malls on the metro where Nala brought her pasalubong.

I'll go back to this place some time when it's not raining and not during summer season.  I don't enjoy a crowded area in places like this.
